Just Turn and Walk Away
She lurks, silently, unseen, in the corners of the book pages, watching as Malchior manipulates the poor girl into freeing him.
It isn’t the first time he’s tried to do this, tried to free himself, but this time he may actually be successful. And he doesn’t care if she is freed with him or if she is left here, trapped without a voice because she never had magic in the first place. She can’t manipulate the spell to be able to speak, to call for help, as he has done. Here, she is powerless, worthless, nothing.
